Stress and Anxiety Management

We can help give you  tools to manage daily stressors that occur as a result of life events.

Many life events can heighten stress and anxiety:

  1. Work stress
  2. Family and relationship issues
  3. Life changes ( moving, job loss, retirement, divorce)
  4. Medical Diagnosis
  5.  Loss

We will help address these concerns and other effects they may have on your life. When workplace issues lead to stress, for example, a therapist may help a person explore ways to deal with those issues.

TYPES OF THERAPY TO RELIEVE STRESS

We will work with together using the treatment that will help you cope with stress in healthy ways. Cognitive Based Therapy is often an effective form of therapy used to management stress. CBT can help change negative thought patterns that develop because of stress. It is often used to help people find new ways of thinking about events that cause stress. These new ways of thinking can help reduce the impact of the stressor.

Mindfulness based therapy is a   proven method for stress reduction.  Many types of therapy incorporate mindfulness. A few of these include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Therapy can help you understand your overall mental health and common triggers of stress. Stress can come from other mental health conditions such as anxiety, PTSD, or addictions. These conditions are also treatable with therapy. Therapy can help you understand your overall mental health. Based on what we find, we can recommend the best strategies and treatment plan.
